Corona Launches ‘Rediscover Paradise’ Travel Platform To Inspire The World To Return To The Outdoors And Explore The Carefully Revived Nature



LONDON–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Corona has long been synonymous with the beach and the natural world. After months of confinement, the brand wants to reconnect people with the outdoors, which is now more beautiful than ever. To get out of the world and explore nature with care, Corona is launching a travel platform called “Rediscover Paradise”. The new platform aims to encourage domestic travel through the launch of a new film and partnerships with local travel agencies to help support the struggling tourism industry.

“After months of being indoors, we want the world to come out with a new appreciation for nature,” said Felipe Ambra, global vice president of Corona. “By launching this platform, our hope is to bring people back to the beautiful places they want to spend time and provide financial relief to an industry that we connect with.”

The “Rediscover Paradise” platform is being created to encourage people to take the first step back to travel, starting by rediscovering their own country first. Globally, the tourism sector is expected to experience a decline of around 400 million global tourist arrivals this year.1. As part of the program, the brand reserves more than 14,000 hotel rooms in more than 1,000 hotels worldwide and facilitates discounts to thousands more, relieving the beleaguered travel industry.

Corona is first rolling out its program in certain countries, including the United Kingdom, Brazil, India, Chile and Canada, where local teams are developing platforms in partnership with booking companies, such as Culture Trip, Kayak, Smartrip, Thrillophilia, etc. In some markets, the platform will serve as an open source site for hotels to offer discounted rates and waive fees often associated with popular booking sites.

Additionally, Corona will be offering some of its pre-purchased rooms as part of travel packages through business and social promotions. These efforts will complement a series of initiatives the brand is also implementing to boost local tourism and outdoor experiences, including the relaunch of its Corona Sunsets event franchise where permitted.
